Her career trajectory includes significant roles at prominent organizations. Melony has served as the Corporate Communications Lead in the Office of the CEO at Mainstreet Equity Corp., a public real estate company. In this capacity starting in 2022, she advises and supports the CEO on strategic communications, including investor relations, media and public relations, and financial reporting. Her work there has contributed to achieving over 1.4 million Google hits, widespread media coverage, the company’s first dividend, and a significant stock price increase.
Melony served as the Head of Brand, Communications, and Culture in the Office of the CEO at DLT Labs (now KNNX), a global IT firm, from 2017 to 2021. At DLT Labs, she created the communications strategy to scale the technology firm, led cross functional communications for the rollout through Walmart Canada’s supply chain, and established internal communications for over 500 employees. Her external media campaigns earned over 1 million Google impressions in publications like Forbes and Harvard Business Review, and her internal efforts resulted in over 90% employee satisfaction.
Earlier, from 1998 to 2017, Melony founded and led Get It Done Inc., a boutique communications agency delivering over 100 mandates across sectors for clients such as Porter Airlines, RBC, and TD. During this time, she served as Communications Director for portfolio companies at McLean Watson Venture Capital/i4i LP (2009–2012), leading communications for the landmark i4i v. Microsoft patent infringement case, which resulted in a US Supreme Court victory with media coverage in 65 countries and was named a Top 6 News Story of 2010 by Time Magazine. Her agency work also helped raise over $250 million for various investments and charitable campaigns.
